Texas Style Chili Recipe
Ingredients:
2 pcs of garlic cloves; minced
1 c of chopped onion
3 Tbsps of oil (olive oil)
2 lbs of beef (lean); chopped
4 c of tomatoes (canned, undrained)
or
4 c of stock (beef, or broth, unsalted)
2 tsps of salt
2 pcs of bay leaves
1 tsp of oregano (dried)
1/4 tsp of cumin; crushed
2-3 Tbsps of chili powder
32 oz of canned soy (Eden, black); drained
Instructions:
Cook onion, garlic, beef, and oil inside a (Dutch) oven for 10 mins till beef becomes brown. Add tomatoes (or the stock) and seasonings; simmer it for one hour till meat becomes tender. Add beans; simmer it for half hour.
Place inside the freezer and reheat when ready to serve.
