Stuffed Mexican Pie Recipe
Ingredients:
2 lbs of meat (sirloin, lean pork, white-meat turkey); cooked and drained
1/2 c of onions; chopped
1/4 c of pepper (green); chopped
2 tsps of chili (powder)
8 oz of shredded cheese (Cheddar)
8 oz of tomato sauce (canned)
1/2 tsp of garlic (powder)
1/2 c & 1 Tbsp of sour cream (dairy)
1 pc of egg white (beaten stiff)
Instructions:
Place the meat, pepper, onion, tomato sauce, chili, and garlic powder on a skillet. Let it simmer for 8-10 mins. Spray PAM on an 8-inch baking dish. Transfer the mixture onto the pan.
Combine (sour) cream, white from egg, and cheese; beat thoroughly then place above the mixture of meat. Bake inside the oven at 375 degrees F for 25 to 30 mins.
