Smothered Pork Chops Recipe
Ingredients:
1 Tbsps of arrowroot or 1/2 Tbsp of not/starch
1/8 tsp of pepper
A can of broth (beef, 14 1/2 ozs)
2 Tbsps of butter
1 pc of onion (medium); sliced
6 pcs of pork-chops (1/2-inch thick, boneless or center-cut)
Instructions:
Blend arrowroot (or Starch/not), pepper and broth. Melt the butter inside a large skillet, saute the chops then cook ’til brown. Remove the chops then set it aside. Reduce heat just a little then add the onion in skillet (put more butter when needed); cook ’til crisp-tender.
Add the broth mix then cook ’til the mixture will boil and thicken while constantly stirring. Next, return the chops into the skillet. Place a cover onto the skillet then cook on low stove heat for 5 mins or ’til done. Makes 6 servings; each containing 2 grams of Carbohydrates.
