Orange-Chipotle Pork Chops Recipe
Ingredients:
2 pcs porkchops (3/4-inch thick); smoked
1/2 c of juice (orange)
2 pcs of pepper (Chipotle) in sauce (Adobe)
A tsp of Splenda
A pinch of salt
Instructions:
Mix the salt, Chipotles, juice (orange) and Splenda inside one blender. Then, place mixture in shallow baking dish w/ chops; refigrate for an hour or more. Take porkchops from marinade and reserve extra marinade. Pour marinade into a saucepan then reduce ’til a third of liquid still remains.
Inside a pan, put in porkchops then cook over medium heat ’til cooked all throughout. Take out chops from pan; drain extra oil. Then, place pan over high stove heat; cook ’til there are no remaining liquids or ’til glaze forms the edge of pan. Next, remove pan from heat then put porkchops back into pan.
Then, add 1/4 c Orange Liqueur then Flambe. Once flames all fade, take out chops from pan; keep them warm. Next, return pan onto stove then add remaining marinade. Next, heat ’til it starts to a boil.
Place chops into a platter, pour a bit of sweet spicy sauce over the top and serve.
This recipe needs Flambe, but if Flambe cannot be performed, just add orange liquer to marinade right before reducing; this does not give same result though. Each serving contains 15 grams of fat, 278 cal and 11 carbohydrates.
