Crockpot Beef & Pork Chili Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb of beef steak (round)
1 lb of pork steak (loin chops or shoulder part)
1 pc of onion (large); chopped
2 pcs of garlic cloves; chopped finely
15 oz of tomato sauce (chunky, canned)
12 oz of salsa (thick and chunky)
2 tsps of seasoning (Mexican or chili powder)
1 pc of bell pepper (green, medium); chopped
Optional:
Sour cream (dairy)
Cheese (Cheddar)
Eden soy (black); drained
Instructions:
Remove fats from pork steak and beef steak. Cut them into 3/4 inch pieces. Combine pork, beef, onion, garlic, tomato sauce, salsa, and seasoning inside the crockpot. Cover then cook above gentle heat for 8 to 10 hours till pork becomes tender.
Add the eden (soy) beans and green pepper; stir thoroughly and cover. Continue cooking above gentle heat for 15 to 30 mins till pepper becomes soft. Serve hot top with cheese and (sour) cream, if preferred.
