Creamy Mushroom Pork Chops Recipe
Ingredients:
6 pcs of pork chops (thick, loin, butterflied); fat-trimmed
1/2 c of finely crushed rinds (pork)
1/3 Tbsp of salt
1/4 tsp of marjoram
1/16 tsp of pepper (black)
1 pc of egg (large) beaten
For the Sauce:
1 Tbsp of flour
1/4 c of onion; chopped
1/2 c of cream
1/2 tsp of salt
1/4 tsp of pepper (black)
1 c of whole mushrooms (canned); drained
Instructions:
Combine the seasonings and crushed rinds then dip the pork chops onto beaten egg; roll onto the crumbs and refrigerate for half an hour. Heat two tablespoons of (olive) oil on a skillet. Cook the coated chops till browned on both sides.
Place them on a baking dish; bake inside the oven at 350 degrees F for half an hour, covered. Remove the cover then continue to bake for 20 more mins till cooked, don’t overcook.
To make the sauce, heat two tablespoons of butter then saute onions till tender, don’t brown. Add flour; stir thoroughly and add cream. Stir till smooth and thick then season salt & pepper; add mushrooms. Continue cooking till bubbly and thick; stir constantly.
Spoon the sauce onto the cooked chops and serve.
