Creamed Turnips Recipe
Ingredients:
1 & 1/2 lbs of peeled turnips; sliced into half-inch cubes
1/4 tsp of pepper
1 pack of artificial sweetener
3 Tbsps of thick cream
1 Tbsp of butter
1/2 tsp of salt
Instructions:
Have turnips placed in skillet. You add butter & 1/3 c water into skillet. You sprinkle w/ salt & artificial sweetener. Have it covered then cook over mid-heat for 15 mins ’til turnips become tender.
Remove cover midway cooking ’til liquid is fully evaporated. You stir the cream in, cook ’til cream is thickened slightly & your turnips coated evenly (approx 3 mins). Season w/ pepper prior to serving.
