Burgers with Herb Butter Recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb of butter (unsalted); softened
1 Tbsp of thyme (fresh); chopped
1 Tbsp of sage (fresh); chopped
2 Tbsps of parsley (flat leaf); chopped
1 Tbsp of chives; chopped
1 tsp of rosemary (fresh); chopped
2 lbs of beef (freshly ground)
Salt (coarse)
Pepper (freshly ground, black)
Veggie oil
Baby lettuce
Instructions:
Combine butter, sage, thyme, chives, rosemary, and parsley inside a bowl; mix thoroughly or process ingredients inside the processor. Transfer onto a waxed paper then roll to a long log, about 1.5 or 2 inches diameter. Place inside a refrigerator till firm, this could be kept frozen for a month.
Preheat the skillet and form four 8-oz burgers, with an inch of thickness. Cut 4 pieces of the (compound herb) butter log with 1/4 inch thick. Make indentation on center burger then place 1/2 of log slice inside the burger. Reshape the meat and cover the butter, season salt & pepper on each side.
Oil the skillet to avoid sticking. Cook them for 5-7 mins on each side for medium-doneness. Transfer onto lettuce leaves. Serve immediately.
