Blackened Chicken Recipe
Ingredients:
8 chicken-breast halves (boneless)
1 & 1/2 Tbsps of garlic seasoning
1 Tbsp of pepper (white)
1 Tbsp of cumin (ground)
1/2 Tbsp of paprika
2 Tbsps of salt
1 & 1/2 Tbsps of ground pepper (black)
1 Tbsp of onion seasoning
1/2 Tbsp of cayenne-pepper
3/4 lb of melted butter (unsalted)
Instructions:
Pound meat lightly into 1/3-inch thick each. Combine your seasonings together in bowl. Dip each chicken piece into softened butter, sprinkle w/ seasoning-mix (1/2 tsp for each) then pat meat w/ your clean hands.
Place these fillets w/ skinned-side down into heated skillet, meat-folds should be opened & meat should be laid flat. You pour 1 Tbsp butter over every fillet.
Have it cooked w/o cover ’til underside will slowly crust (approx 2 mins). You turn over your fillets then pour 1 tsp of softened butter all over each meat piece.
Continue cooking for 2 mins more ’til cooked to desired doneness.
Serve w/ the crusted-side up.
