Almond Poppyseed Cheesecake Recipe
Ingredients:
2 c of cream cheese
8 oz of sweetener (Splenda)
4 pcs of eggs (large)
1/3 c of cream
1-1/2 tsps of poppy seeds
1-3/4 tsps of almond flavoring or extract
For the Topping:
1-1/2 c of sour cream (dairy)
1-1/2 Tbsps of sweetener (Splenda)
1/2 tsp of almond extract
1/2 c of almonds (toasted); sliced
Instructions:
Preheat the oven at 400 degrees F. Slightly grease the 9-inch (springform) pan.
Cream the cream cheese till fluffy then add the sweetener and blend thoroughly. Add the eggs individually, while beating continuously. Add poppy seeds, cream, and extract.
Transfer batter on the pan and set the pan onto a cooking sheet. Place inside preheated oven then bake it for two hrs.
Combine sour cream, sweetener, and extract; mix the topping thoroughly and spread evenly over the cheesecake while still hot. Sprinkle almond slices then bake again for another five mins.
